Nicholas Muhlenbruch is a federal healthcare technology leader with deep expertise in modernizing care delivery through interoperable, mission-focused solutions that improve outcomes for both providers and patients.
He brings more than a decade of experience in the federal health domain, including leadership roles at the Department of Veterans Affairs. There, he helped drive the implementation of Tele-ICU, TeleCritical Care and rural health initiatives across multiple Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs). He was instrumental in defining the technical requirements and acquisition strategy for a $100 million enterprise-wide Tele-ICU program—work that ultimately helped establish it as a national VA office.
Mr. Muhlenbruch holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Iowa and began his career at the Iowa City VA Health Care System.
