Michelle D. Hertz serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She leads the organization’s Legal, Compliance, and Contracts functions. As CGI Federal’s Ethics Officer, she oversees the company’s Ethics and Trade Compliance programs and advises leadership and the Board of Directors on matters involving government relations, corporate governance, and federal regulatory compliance. In her role as Corporate Secretary, Michelle also manages Board governance, documentation, and corporate records.
With more than 35 years of experience spanning government, private practice and industry, Michelle brings deep expertise in federal government contracting. She previously held senior legal and contracts roles at major federal contractors and began her career as a Contracting Officer with the Naval Air Systems Command.
Michelle earned her Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from St. Lawrence University. She is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Section, the Association of Corporate Counsel (WMACCA chapter) and Executive Mosaic’s General Counsel Group.
