At CGI, we are proud to support those who serve our country.

Through the Armed Forces Covenant, we pledge to treat serving personnel, veterans, and their families with fairness and respect. This commitment is more than symbolic: it reflects our belief in the value of service, and our responsibility as an employer, partner and member of society to contribute to a more resilient United Kingdom.

We are honoured to hold the Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) - an achievement that recognises our commitment to going above and beyond our Armed Forces Covenant pledges. It reflects our continued support and advocacy for the armed forces community, and our active role in helping service leavers transition into meaningful civilian careers.

Harnessing Skills That Strengthen Resilience

The UK faces evolving challenges to its safety and security, from global instability to cyber threats and technology-driven change. As a result, there is a growing need for people with experience in operating under pressure, adapting rapidly, and solving complex problems.

Veterans, reservists and Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers bring precisely these qualities. Their leadership, teamwork and technical skills directly contribute to the kind of national resilience and capability that the UK needs not only in defence, but across the wider public sector and national infrastructure.

At CGI, we employ military talent across a range of secure and critical programmes. From digital defence solutions to cyber operations and secure space systems, they play a vital role in helping government and national organisations stay safe, responsive and future-ready.

Creating Opportunities with Purpose

We understand that transitioning from military to civilian life is both significant and personal. That’s why we offer structured pathways, mentoring and peer support through our Uniformed Services Network. We help service leavers recognise the depth of their transferable skills and apply them in new, purposeful ways that continue to serve the public good.

We also support flexibility for reservists and family members, as well as our Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers ensuring their service commitments are respected and supported. This is part of our wider commitment to inclusion and reflects the value we place on all forms of service to the nation.

A Shared Responsibility

As a long-term partner to government, we understand that strengthening the UK’s defence and security ecosystem requires collaboration between government, industry, and wider society. Supporting the Armed Forces Covenant is one way we contribute to this shared goal, and we encourage other organisations to join us in doing so.

By creating meaningful career opportunities, building mutual understanding, and recognising the continued contribution of military personnel, we are helping to shape a more secure, skilled and cohesive society and one where service is respected and supported.

Marking Remembrance

This November, as the nation pauses to honour those who have served and sacrificed, we at CGI reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the armed forces community. Supporting the Armed Forces Covenant is not just about employment; it is about recognising the legacy of service, creating opportunities for the future, and ensuring that those who serve, past and present, are never forgotten.
