The Auto-enrollment Service is an add-on to the basic Certificate Services that offers auto-enrollment of certificates for both users and computers. It provides automatic installation and updates of certificates, which is often preferred on secure networks that require a valid certificate for users and/or computers. Which users and computers that are in need of certificates and what level of access they should receive is controlled through groups in the customer’s Active Directory. It is possible to

GET THEM IN A SECURE WAY Example workflow:

  1. The user logs in to the domain. If certificate needs to be installed or renewed a request is sent to the proxy service
  2. The proxy service verifies the request and orders certificate from Certificate Services
  3. Certificate Services creates new certificate
  4. The proxy service collects the certificate from Certificate Services and makes it available to the domain user
  5. The domain user collects the certificate and installs it
