Virginia Williams serves as Senior Vice-President, Consulting Services and Business Unit Leader for CGI’s U.S. Northwest operations. Virginia oversees the strategy, growth, and delivery of services for the business unit, which delivers a broad range of technology and business services to government and commercial clients throughout California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. In addition, she is a member of the CGI U.S. operations executive team.  

Virginia joined CGI in 2015 as a Vice-President and assumed responsibility for the State of California health and human services (HHS) vertical. In this capacity, she grew a team to over 200 members delivering consulting and outsourcing services to strategic clients and expanded CGI’s portfolio. Under her leadership, client satisfaction scores rose to an average of 9.8 out of 10. Additionally, she led the U.S. West business unit’s initiative on the multi-generational workforce, which was aimed at harnessing the unique value and talents brought to the workplace by each generational co-hort

Prior to joining CGI, Virginia spent 30 years with the IBM Corporation. During her 30-year career with IBM, she managed an ever-increasing number and size of government and commercial application development and outsourcing projects. Prior to leaving, Virginia was running IBM’s portfolio of projects with the State of California, which included projects with the Franchise Tax Board’s Child Support Enforcement Project, California Department of Technology, Department of Healthcare Services, Department of Consumer Affairs and the Office of Systems Integration.

Virginia received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and English Literature with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame de Namur.
