Fairfax, Virginia, September 20, 2018

CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) today announced the grand re-opening of its location in Richmond, Virginia, where the company has completed a $1 million office renovation and plans to add 40 new, well-paid technology jobs in the coming year. Governor Ralph Northam joined Richmond community leaders and CGI executives and employees on September 4, 2018, for a ribbon-cutting at CGI’s East Main Street office, celebrating an expansion that builds on a partnership with Virginia spanning more than 40 years.

CGI has partnered with the Commonwealth on local accomplishments including the implementation of eVA, an award-winning IT system that runs the Commonwealth’s enterprise procurement program. From Richmond, CGI’s talented professionals also serve the region’s human services and child welfare agencies, and maintain client engagements with organizations in the financial services and utilities industries. With its U.S. company head office in Northern Virginia and 4,200 employees statewide, CGI has made numerous investments in the region, including a state-of-the-art onshore IT services delivery center in Lebanon, Virginia.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring new jobs to Richmond,” said Lynne Bushey, Senior Vice-President, U.S. Mid-Atlantic operations at CGI. “With growing companies, an outstanding workforce, and innovative government partners, Virginia continues to be a great location for the type of investment that will benefit our clients, employees and the communities they serve.”
