While they chose not to address it in the moment, another teammate stepped in, calmly explaining the impact of such comments and the seriousness of the condition.

That act of allyship, done without being asked, left a lasting impression. It’s a reminder that inclusion isn’t always loud, it’s in the quiet choices we make as well. And that’s DE&I, really.
