This recognition celebrates CGI Partners helping young people develop skills and confidence through mentoring

CGI has been named Envision’s Mentor Team of the Year for the third consecutive year, recognising the dedication of CGI Partners who have supported young people through mentoring and social action projects.

Envision is a UK charity that helps young people from less advantaged backgrounds develop essential skills, confidence and employability through structured mentoring programmes and community-focused projects.

Over the past three months, a team of CGI mentors worked with students from Broadway Academy in Birmingham, helping them design and deliver a social action project focused on tackling the cost-of-living crisis. The students created stationery packs to support fellow pupils, addressing a practical need within their school community.

Throughout the programme, CGI mentors provided guidance, encouragement and practical support, helping students strengthen their communication, teamwork and leadership skills. The project culminated in a presentation at the Envision Finals, where students showcased the impact of their work and the lessons they had learned along the way.

The team’s efforts were recognised with Envision’s Mentor Team of the Year award, ahead of strong competition from other organisations and institutions involved in the programme.

In addition, CGI mentor Mohammed-Abbas Dhanji was nominated for Mentor of the Year, recognising the positive contribution he made to the students’ development throughout the programme.

This achievement reflects CGI’s ongoing commitment to creating positive outcomes in local communities through mentoring, volunteering and social value initiatives. By sharing their experience and expertise, CGI Partners continue to help young people build the confidence and skills they need to succeed in education, employment and beyond.

Sean Bailey, CGI's Early Careers Talent Acquisition Specialist said "Our partnership with Envision continues to showcase the very best of CGI. I'm incredibly proud of our partners who volunteer their time, experience and encouragement to help young people realise their potential. Winning Mentor Team of the Year for the third year running is a fantastic achievement, but it's the impact on the students that matters most. The programme is a powerful example of us living out one of our key priorities, Kindness in Action, and the difference we can make when we invest in the next generation."

Supporting programmes such as Envision demonstrates how collaboration between businesses, schools and charities can create meaningful opportunities for young people while helping them address challenges facing their communities.
