Ray Daoud was appointed CGI’s Chief Security Officer on June 1, 2023. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s global enterprise security strategy and establishing global security policies, standards and practices across all security areas, including personnel, information, physical security and cybersecurity. He also is responsible for CGI’s business continuity programs and supporting activities.

Ray also is a member of CGI’s Executive Management Committee, which includes corporate and operations leaders who set enterprise-wide strategy, approve enterprise policies, and provide operations oversight, ensuring tight collaboration and alignment in executing CGI’s strategic goals and priorities across the company’s global footprint.

Prior to this appointment, Ray led CGI’s Information Security and Architecture Center of Expertise and worked with CGI leaders to provide policy direction, architecture leadership, assurance processes, training and tools to ensure security is embedded in everything they do.

Since joining CGI in 2005, Ray has played a key role in helping to ensure the continuous evolution of the company’s security policies, controls and capabilities to address rapidly changing threats and to support our clients’ needs.

With more than 26 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT, architecture, risk management, governance and compliance, Ray has a proven track record of delivering the strategic vision, leadership and results-oriented approach needed to drive enterprise-wide security transformation and generate tangible business value.

Prior to joining CGI, Ray served in a security leadership position for an industry-leading software and services company overseeing all aspects of security for their Canadian operations. Ray started his career at a Canadian firm that created the world’s first Internet search engine and later went on to help build the first security program at one of Canada’s leading universities.

Ray holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and several industry certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
