Lassila & Tikanoja deployed CGI’s Mobilog, a mobile work supervision solution, to manage repetitive administrative routines for its employees. The mobile app combines time and location data with near-field communication (NFC) technology to make manual work time entries and paper timesheets obsolete.
“We are a multi-sector company offering services that necessitate mobile work,” explained Harri Karjalainen, CIO of Lassila & Tikanoja. “This solution has been welcomed by our employees, as the need for agreeing on matters by phone, for example, has clearly decreased.”
Mobilog also facilitates the supervision and organization of work. Cleaners, for example, can receive work orders and other information directly to their mobile phones. The solution also allows a supervisor to monitor service levels in real time and react to changes, no matter how sudden by, for example, better balancing workloads.
