We are excited to announce that CGI will be taking part in the first ever ‘Festival of The Girl Newcastle’ on 21 March at the Sports Hall in Newcastle University.

Festival of The Girl (FoTG) is a non-profit festival dedicated to empowering girls aged 7 – 11 to explore their potential without being limited by gender stereotypes. From female role models to hands-on workshops and immersive activities, the festival provides opportunities for girls to explore topics including sport, STEM, physical and mental health, friendships, sustainability, and future careers.

CGI has been involved in FoTG for the last two years, sponsoring Sister Motion’s media production workshop at the flagship FoTG London event. We’re delighted to be exhibiting at FoTG Newcastle to champion and inspire the next generation of girls in the digital workforce.

Come and meet us at Festival of The Girl Newcastle and join in two exciting, hands-on coding adventures!

Take control of a ping pong ball sized ‘Sphero’ robot and guide it to its destination. Using a tablet, you’ll programme your robot to follow a map, solve challenges and see your code come to life.

Or why not get creative with ‘Microb:t’ coding to build real-world digital skills. Expect creativity, problem-solving, and plenty of fun as you discover what you can achieve with code!
