When upgrading their HR system, The National Lottery Heritage Fund turned to long-term partner, CGI, for expertise and support to ensure data continued to interface accurately to its payroll system.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder of the UK’s heritage, supporting projects that connect people and communities to history, from preserving historic buildings and industrial legacies to celebrating traditions and stories. To maintain its mission of safeguarding the past for future generations, the Heritage Fund sought to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience through a digital transformation.

Safeguarding data for a seamless transition

During the upgrade to their CIPHR cloud-based HR system, the Heritage Fund contacted CGI to discuss the impact this could potentially have on their existing ePayfact payroll solution. In response, we mobilised quickly, undertaking rigorous testing of the interface from the CIPHR HR system to ensure data would continue to flow accurately following the upgrade. By ensuring the change would not compromise payroll data, we continued to have excellent net pay accuracy.

As part of the CIPHR upgrade, the Heritage Fund also identified the opportunity to further enhance the employee experience by providing their employees with a single point of access to all their HR and payroll information. This was achieved by launching CGI’s iPayview payslip viewing platform directly from CIPHR.

Throughout the upgrade process, our experts were on hand to support the Heritage Fund, proactively addressing any potential issues and responding rapidly. Overall, the Heritage Fund were able to upgrade seamlessly, with no impact on the live payroll.
