At this exciting stage of your job search, it’s likely you’ll have plenty of questions. We have tried to answer some of the common ones here.

How many vacancies do you have?

This year we will be recruiting approximately 100 graduates and 30 industrial placement students.

Is there a closing date?

No. We recruit on an ongoing basis however, so we would strongly recommend that you complete an application sooner rather than later to avoid being disappointed.

Am I guaranteed a graduate job after completing the industrial placement year?

It isn't guaranteed, however if you enjoy your year and you have met CGI's expectations we will aim to give you a contract for a graduate role before you leave us for your final year at University.

What happens when I am no longer classified as a graduate, will you still have a job? 

Yes, you are employed as a permanent member from day one.

What year of study do I need to be in in order to apply?

For industrial placement applicants you must be in your penultimate year of study.

For graduate applicants you must be in your final year of university or have already graduated within the last three years.

When will I hear back from you after I have applied?

We aim to respond to all applicants within 5 working days. However at peak periods this could cause increase slightly. Please bare with us and we will always keep you up to date.

Do you sponsor visas?

Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visas.

How does the assessment process work?

When are your assessment centres?

These are starting at the end of November and will be ongoing until we fill our roles. Please be aware that as we hold assessment centres in central locations you may have an assessment center in a different location to where you will be based when you actually start work with us.

What training will I get?

All graduates and industrial placement students will have an induction with the student recruitment team and this is normally held in Reading. Your manager and colleagues will also ensure that you have all the "on the job" training you need. In addition, all members at CGI have access to a wealth of training through our e-learning system as well as some classroom based courses.

If successful when will I start? 

Industrial placement students will start in July and graduates start throughout the year. Our graduates and industrial placement students join a student recruitment induction when starting the company.

What is the dress code?

As a general rule we wear business attire. However this depends where you're based and what you're doing. We'll give you more information if we offer you a position. For interviews, you should always dress smartly.
