The Electoral Commission, the UK’s independent body responsible for overseeing elections and regulating political finance, has selected CGI in the UK to provide a managed payroll service. We will provide our established UK-based managed payroll service, combining payroll technology designed for the public sector with specialist payroll expertise and delivery.

Building on proven Civil Service capability

The service will include our ePayfact payroll solution and iPayview employee self-service portal, providing the Electoral Commission with an established payroll platform and secure employee access to payroll information.

We bring extensive experience supporting Civil Service Pension requirements, including an established interface with the Civil Service Pension Administrator. For the Electoral Commission, this existing capability can help reduce implementation complexity and support a shorter, lower-risk transition to the new service.

As a G-Cloud customer, the Electoral Commission will also be able to join the Consortium, comprising G-Cloud customers receiving payroll services from CGI. The consortium provides customers with an opportunity to share knowledge and developments, while helping distribute the cost of common changes across the wider customer community.

Strengthening our public sector payroll offering

This appointment further strengthens our position as a managed payroll services provider to public bodies and public sector organisations across the UK.

It also demonstrates the value of our shared-service approach, enabling organisations of different sizes to benefit from established payroll technology, specialist expertise and a wider customer community.

Through this approach, we continue to support public sector organisations in delivering essential services efficiently, while providing the resilience, experience and flexibility needed to meet changing requirements.
