The UK Police Memorial plays a vital role in recognising the commitment of those who have served to protect others. It provides a physical place for reflection and remembrance for families, colleagues and the public, while the Digital Memorial ensures the stories behind the names are preserved, shared and understood more widely.
Senior leaders from CGI’s Public Safety Business Unit recently met with colleagues from the Police Memorial Arboretum Trust to discuss the partnership which is focused on building a long-term relationship grounded in shared values, trust and sustained impact.
For CGI, this partnership reflects our commitment to public safety and justice: We work alongside police forces and public sector organisations to apply digital technology in ways that improve services, support frontline professionals and help keep communities safe. Enabling a strong, accessible and enduring UK Police Memorial is a natural extension of that work and meaningful to our clients.
As part of the partnership, CGI will contribute digital expertise to support the continued development, accessibility and long term sustainability of the Digital Memorial and associated educational materials, helping to preserve the lives, service and legacy of fallen officers for future generations.
Debbie Street, Vice President Consulting Services for Public Safety at CGI, said:
“Our sponsorship of the UK Police Memorial goes beyond financial support. It reflects CGI values and our responsibility to apply our expertise in ways that honour service, strengthen public understanding and ensure these important stories endure.”
CGI is committed to supporting the UK Police Memorial over the long term- contributing our expertise to help ensure the UK Police Memorial at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire and online, remains a powerful place of remembrance, education and digital legacy.
