Cyber threats to the Oil and Gas industry
On 17 June, CGI and Robert Gordon University (RGU) collaborated to provide a breakfast briefing around Cyber threats to the Oil and Gas industry titled “Collaboration, Controls, Competitive advantage - the Cyber threat: are you ready?”
The event brought together 40 representatives from Aberdeen’s Oil and Gas community to the newly redeveloped Garthdee campus of Robert Gordon University. The attendees got to hear from representatives of the University, Oil and Gas Information Security Forum and CGI on Cyber security issues within the Oil and Gas Sector. Topics included the need for collaboration, information sharing and the skills shortage in the sector.
The event generated a lot of positive publicity, including coverage from BBC Radio Scotland who interviewed CGI’s Adam Ogilvie-Smith on the cyber threats within the Oil and Gas industry on their Good Morning Scotland show.
