For years, CGI members in Poland have provided ongoing support to the Society for the Blind, an educational organization run by nuns in the small town of Laski, located in the suburbs of Warsaw, Poland’s capital city.

The Society for the Blind educates blind children from their first months of life until young adulthood, preparing them to live independently in society.

CGI members used to help the Society during the holidays by organizing a gift collection, but over time their partnership has evolved to encompass year-round support. Most recently, donations were collected to purchase a software program that changes printed text into Braille.

The software allows the blind to read any book they wish, rather than being limited to texts that are published in Braille. Through the generosity of CGI and other local businesses, the nuns were able to purchase 13 software licenses for the students.
