Innovation 2026 is a major public sector conference taking place at ExCeL London in March 2026, bringing together senior leaders from across the civil service and wider public sector.
Co-hosted by HM Government, the Civil Service and the Cabinet Office, the event focuses on how innovation can support government transformation and the delivery of public services, through a programme of plenary sessions, masterclasses and expert-led discussions.
CGI at Innovation 2026
As a Gold sponsor, CGI will use Innovation 2026 to launch our new Digital Transformation Blueprint for Delivering Public Value, available exclusively at the CGI stand.
Developed through close collaboration with senior government leaders, programme teams, SROs and delivery owners, the Blueprint responds to a challenge increasingly heard across public services: how to move from policy intent to measurable outcomes without increasing delivery risk, technical debt or undermining operational confidence.
Designed to support informed senior decision-making, investment planning and more grounded conversations about transformation priorities, the Blueprint is particularly relevant in highly scrutinised and resource-constrained environments.
Come and speak to our team who will be on hand throughout the event to walk through the Blueprint, discuss the insights most relevant to your organisation, and explore how they can be applied in practice.
In addition, CGI is delighted to feature in the following sessions:
11:15 – 12:05 | 24 March
How government can crack data sharing
Effective data sharing is critical to delivering joined-up, citizen-focused public services, yet legal, technical and cultural barriers continue to hold organisations back. In this panel session, Simon Dale, Vice President of AI and Data at CGI, joins senior international government data leaders to explore how these challenges can be overcome in practice.
The panel will feature:
- Fiona James, Chief Data Officer, Office for National Statistics (ONS)
- Ima Okonny, Chief Data Officer, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)
- Iliya Peter Nickelt, Chief Data Scientist, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
Drawing on experience across complex public sector and regulated environments, the discussion will examine how clearer governance, modern data architectures and stronger incentives for collaboration can enable safe, lawful and impactful data sharing at scale.
