Home Bargains has over 22,000 employees working across 575 stores in the UK. They currently open 50 new stores a year in their ambition to reach 1,000 stores with over 40,000 staff, and sought our help to create a more effective HR function to enable this.

Working together, we aimed to simplify Home Bargains’ organisational complexities, streamline recruitment, increase payroll efficiency, and improve employee relations and wellbeing; the overall objective being to enable the company’s growth. We used our proven process excellence methodology to deliver 63 recommendations that would help achieve these goals, each was documented, sized and mapped to key change themes.

Our plans for change will help Home Bargains realise significant cost savings over a three-year period, amongst other benefits including improved employee experience and process efficiencies.
