CGI selected by Vodafone to transform Centrica’s service desk capabilities with zero-touch operations
CGI has been selected by Vodafone to deliver managed IT services that will enhance operations and employee experience for leading international energy services provider Centrica.
CGI has been chosen by Vodafone and Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) to support a major transformation of Centrica’s IT service desk, networking capabilities and infrastructure operations. The initiative forms part of a broader programme led by Vodafone to modernise Centrica’s IT environment and empower its workforce through proven digital services.
Working collaboratively, CGI, Vodafone and VOIS will deliver integrated Digital Workplace Services and enhanced connectivity across Centrica’s UK operations. CGI’s UK-based, award-winning service desk will play a central role in this transformation, supported by premium on-site Tech Bar services to provide Centrica’s employees with responsive and personalised IT assistance. The service will support more than 30,000 employee devices across 80 UK locations.
Vodafone will provide fixed and mobile connectivity to support Centrica’s offices and workforce, while VOIS will deliver a comprehensive suite of back-office services - including end user management, Office 365, cloud platforms and Microsoft Power Apps. In addition, VOIS – through its strategic partnership with Accenture – will support the ongoing development and operation of Centrica’s ServiceNow platform.
The outcomes-led solution will embed automation across the IT service lifecycle to deliver zero-touch operations, real-time service updates and a seamless digital experience for employees. This will enhance service efficiency and resilience, enabling Centrica employees to focus on delivering critical services to millions of households.
