At CGI, we encourage our professionals to actively participate in activities and projects that enable them to use their skills and expertise to serve communities in need.

To support our professionals’ volunteering efforts during the pandemic, five of our professionals in our operations in France deployed a digital employee volunteering platform using the wenabi solution. Created in May 2020, the Solidarity platform is an online tool that enables our professionals to perform various activities such as volunteering or skills transfer in collaboration with about 100 partner associations across France.

The platform was launched in October 2020 and is available to all our professionals in France, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Morocco. It offers over 350 volunteering opportunities that can be carried out remotely or in person. They cover a wide range of activities including supporting people with disabilities in their professional lives, running digital technology workshops, distributing food and offering learning support to students. Through the platform, to date, our professionals have initiated over 100 missions with more than 500 volunteering hours completed.

“CGI is a recognized leader in Tech for Good, and corporate responsibility has been one of our core business values from the start. We are therefore convinced that digital responsibility is a powerful solution for women and men, our planet, our future and that of generations to come. Our teams have already adopted this wonderful tool of solidarity and we are excited about what lies ahead. It’s a source of collective pride,” says Laurent Gerin, President of CGI’s operations in Western and Southern Europe.
