Mary is a senior consultant within the Sustainability and Climate Change Advisory Services team. With 2 master's degrees and an engineering doctorate (EngD), she has a strong background in energy management and energy practices, as well as environmental behaviour. Mary cemented her expertise in sustainable business strategies when studying business sustainability management at the University of Cambridge, before furthering her training around ISO standards including practical auditing of energy (ISO 50001) and environmental (ISO 14001) management systems.
Mary has practical experience of energy and carbon management, delivering legislative energy and carbon schemes including the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED 2012/27/EU) and SECR, as well as auditing for energy and environmental management systems (ISO 50001 & ISO 14001) for national and international organisations. Mary also has experience of applying energy saving opportunities for the private and public sectors (real estate, IT and manufacturing), involving operational and technological opportunities and improvement management programmes (on energy systems and behavioural change).
