Smart meter and device manufacturers rely on their customers for testing of their devices and new releases of firmware against the DCC test environments.  This means manufacturers’ customers must provide test lab space and dedicate resources to test defects and capture evidence.

Our Smart Meter Testing Service (SMTS) provides smart meter and device manufacturers and other Smart Energy Code (SEC) parties with access to the DCC’s User Interface Test (UIT) environment to enable testing of smart meters and other smart devices.  SMTS ensures manufacturers have independent access to the end-to-end DCC test ecosystem, enabling them to test their own devices without relying on their customers for test lab space or test resources.
