We are proud to announce that CGI were named ‘Best Graduate Employer’ at the ‘Women in Tech Employer Awards 2023’. The awards celebrate employers and individuals going above and beyond to help close the gender gap within the tech sector.
We were winners of this award due to our demonstration of how we go above and beyond to open doors for female STEM graduates and provide them with the opportunity to kick-start their tech careers. We believe equality is for everyone, and never is this more important than in recruitment. We ensure everyone within CGI is treated fairly and everyone considering a career with CGI feels welcome and supported in their journey.

“When it comes to recruitment, CGI believes in equity. The early careers team reach out to a range of schools, colleges, and universities, meeting potential candidates in person to allow them to see how open and accessible the CGI family is. Fairness and equal opportunity in our attraction/application process is CGI's primary aim. Because females are underrepresented in the IT industry, we increased our female-targeted marketing and reassessed our interviewing and assessment centre process to ensure no bias was present. As a result, female intake increased from 14% to 20.3% and 32% a year later. We are proud of the changes we have made that have helped move the team closer to our end goal of achieving a 50/50 gender split through our Early Careers intake."
