CGI supports CyberFirst – the government’s scheme to develop the next generation of cyber experts
CGI is proud to support the government’s new student scheme, CyberFirst. In a move to address the cyber skills gap, the scheme provides student bursaries, paid work placements and employment opportunities for young talent.
In a fight to protect the UK from the growing threat of cyber-attacks, the government launched CyberFirst. It’s a pivotal part of the government’s National Cyber Security Programme, which includes the formation of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It plans to enthuse school children and fast-track tomorrow’s online security experts starting university cyber degrees.
The Scheme was launched on 2 February and as one of 20 organisations who signed up in support of the initiative, CGI will support CyberFirst applicants through work placements, Cyber Degree Apprenticeships and employment opportunities upon graduation in a relevant field.
