At CGI UK we recognise our responsibility as a business to make a positive impact on the world around us. We are using our expertise from across the business to deliver sustainable solutions to our clients and understand the key role tech plays in a sustainable future for all. From seabed to space, we’re making a difference. It’s why we have a net-zero carbon emissions by 2026 commitment, why we are a founding partner of Get Nature Positive and why we are now proud to announce our partnership with Project Seagrass and support for their essential marine restoration and preservation work.

Project Seagrass Platinum Sponsor

proudly supporting project seagrass

As part of our commitment to protect the environment and to support our communities, we have become a Platinum Sponsor of Project Seagrass. As part of this corporate partnership, we will be adopting a patch of seagrass and planting 50 bags of seagrass seeds at a suitable habitat in Wales. We look forward to CGI volunteers getting involved in planting and other activities as our partnership grows.

What is Project Seagrass?

Project Seagrass is an environmental charity devoted to the conservation of seagrass ecosystems through education, influence, research and action. As a team of dedicated seagrass scientists, they support marine restoration, conservation and the protection of seagrass, recognising its importance in biodiversity, planetary life support and the climate crisis that affects us all.

Voluntary work

In addition to being a platinum sponsor, we are using our skills and resources as a leading IT and business consulting services company to deliver a voluntary project to Project Seagrass which will see delivered an innovative solution to enhance their efforts in seagrass conservation and preservation along our coastlines.

Joint STEM from home pack

We will be producing a joint STEM from home pack with Project Seagrass, which will join over 20 packs already available aimed at young learners. We are proud to raise awareness of seagrass and the important role it plays as we support the next generation and provide them with key opportunities to develop their understanding of STEM subjects. Together, we are building a sustainable future.
