Request to Pay (RtP) has the potential to touch pretty much every part of the payments infrastructure, the banks, merchants, billers and payers in every country in Europe and beyond. It has been a priority for regulation at both European and national level and has been a focus of interest to incumbents and new players in Financial Services as both an opportunity and a threat.
CGI brought a Request to Pay service live at the beginning of this year and we’ve been involved in developing the rules for RtP, both in the Eurozone and beyond. Through our heritage within payments, we have always been close to RtP and its potential customers and users.
Our new paper shows the Request to Pay story across three acts, the history and context, how RtP is being implemented in Europe and the UK and how this all comes together as exciting business and consumer services.
