SDI’s Service Desk Certification (SDC) is a badge of honor—it is an audit process that checks the quality of services provided by IT support organizations. By measuring performance against the internationally accepted Global Best Practice Standard for Service Desk, the certification recognizes outstanding teams, sets tangible targets for staff, and motivates them to further develop their skills.
For CGI, this accreditation is not only a testament to operational excellence but a strategic advantage that strengthens its position in the market. A New Path Towards Commitment
CGI has a strong relationship with SDI. Its UK Bridgend service desk has proudly maintained a 5-star world-class rating for over a decade, setting a high standard in the company’s global operations.
In 2023, CGI’s India and Philippines service desks jointly achieved a 3-star multi-site certification with a score of 3.14. Following a restructuring within CGI’s Asia-Pacific operations, the certification process shifted to focus on individual sites, allowing each site to showcase its unique strengths and progress.
The Philippines operation demonstrated steady development, achieving a 3-star rating of 3.71 in May 2024. Building on that momentum, the team underwent the S2 Surveillance Audit in July 2025, which paved the way to receiving SDI’s quality-centric 4-star accreditation.
