E-Yang Tang has been CGI Vice President and CTO of Cyber Security in Australia since 2018.Â
His passion for law enforcement began during his time as a police Officer with the Singapore Police Coast Guard Division. Following a few years of hot pursuits intercepting traffickers and smugglers, he obtained a first-class honours degree in Computer Engineering, majoring in Public Key Cryptography, from Monash University.
From here he was able to translate his commitment to law enforcement into cyber security, embarking on a career that has so far spanned 23 years and included notable organisations such as RSA, EMC, Verizon, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Ernst and Young.
An Open Group TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect and ISC2 CISSP certified professional, E-Yang is also an ardent follower of the Security Legislation Amendment Critical Infrastructure Protection (SLACIP) Act 2022. At CGI, he provides advice on identifying, detecting, preventing and responding to cyber security events while at the same minimising any impact on human life.
A thought leader in the development of cyber security approaches to Operational Technology, E-Yang is also a passionate mentor of the next generation of cyber professionals and regularly shares his expertise and knowledge at cyber security events.
