Sonion, a global frontrunner in hearing aid components and owned by Novo Holdings A/S, has just completed a successful upgrade of its ERP platform to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – in Denmark, the Netherlands, the USA, Poland, and Vietnam.
The project is a strong example of how CGI, as a local partner, can support companies with rollouts across borders and contribute to Sonion’s international success, including the company’s 6,000 employees worldwide.
Sonion operates in a complex manufacturing environment with over 20,000 production orders per week and more than 500,000 label print jobs. The transition from AX2012 to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations has not only modernized the ERP platform but also strengthened efficiency and traceability in a highly competitive global market.
Among the highlights are a new label language (ZPL), redesign of 150 label layouts, and a flexible label designer – built on standard functionality that now manages Sonion’s extensive labeling needs in a future-proof way.
At the same time, the project has created a solid foundation for data-driven decision-making with integration to Power BI and Azure Data Lake – a solution that enables Sonion to leverage data across the entire organization.
Previously, the focus was primarily on classic reporting. The new platform makes it possible both to maintain existing reporting practices and to exploit Power BI for more flexible, in-depth, and visual analysis.
With full synchronization of F&O data to Azure Data Lake as well as the establishment of a data warehouse and reporting environment, a robust foundation has been created where data can be consolidated and shared across the organization – forming the basis for advanced analytics in the future.
