Meet Benita Weber - Business Analyst & Software Engineer at CGI
Since joining CGI in 2022, I have been part of the INVision team, which is responsible for a back-office fund administration system for investment companies. I started as a junior consultant while completing my master’s degree and transitioned into a full-time role upon graduation.
As a business analyst and software engineer, my responsibilities include system maintenance, developing new features and enhancements, and communicating with our clients. Additionally, in my role as offshore lead, I coordinate daily operations and maintain close collaboration with our offshore colleagues in India.
Although my background is in business and finance—I hold a master’s degree in Finance & Investments from CBS—I have always been interested in IT and programming. My studies involved some programming tasks, primarily focused on data analytics in finance. My position at CGI has allowed me to further develop my programming skills and apply them in a practical setting.
I truly enjoy working in IT, especially when it comes to logical programming tasks. Having always had a passion for mathematics and problem-solving, I find tackling complex coding challenges particularly rewarding. The intersection of IT and finance is a perfect match for me, enabling me to broaden my expertise and continuously expand my knowledge.
