CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) celebrates 35 years of growth in Saguenay and announces a multi-million dollar investment for the expansion and redevelopment of its Saguenay offices , in the presence of Mayor Josée Néron and Promotion Saguenay General Manager Patrick Bérubé. With the growth of its activities, CGI is also announcing the creation of 100 jobs over a three-year horizon, which will add to the existing 700 jobs, thereby contributing to the economic and social vitality of the region.

Thirty-five years ago, CGI and Alcan entered into a managed IT services agreement that resulted in the opening of CGI's Center of Excellence in Saguenay. In September 1984, CGI had four employees. Today, there are nearly 700 professionals in Saguenay and over 100 clients from here and around the world. From this center, CGI professionals design leading-edge solutions and services, including intelligent automation and software development, to support the digital transformation and growth of our clients.
