With better data and analytics, ProRail is moving towards condition-based and data-driven maintenance.

ProRail is responsible for the maintenance, renewal, expansion and safety of the Dutch railway network. They manage 7,000 km of track, regulate all train traffic (160 million km per year) and build and manage stations.

One of the challenges for ProRail was to centralise and share data amongst several stakeholders. The goal was to learn and navigate the operations, leading to more efficient predictive maintenance. Preventing disturbances reduces costs and improves availability and reliability of the rail infrastructure.
