CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) announced it has been selected by GomSpace, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of nano-satellite solutions, to accelerate its software development activities in order to meet tight customer deadlines. CGI will develop and implement gateways to GomSpace’s autonomous operations platform (MCOP).

The NewSpace companies often have short deadlines and ambitious goals. GomSpace and CGI are both eager to meet their customers’ demands and deliver the agreed solutions on time and on budget at the expected high-quality. GomSpace relied on CGI’s support based on its track record of successful deliveries, along with its expertise in systems integration, API development and international network of space expertise.

“The development and deployment of this custom gateway allows our satellite operations platform to autonomously interface the systems and services of our partners and customers.” said Niels Buus, CEO at GomSpace. “CGI’s careful planning gave us the confidence that the delivery would be completed on time, allowing us to meet our customers’ demands.”

“We are proud to support GomSpace’s business transformation through their innovative services and solutions,” said Sébastien Denis, Director Consulting Services, CGI in Luxembourg. “Our local presence and skills enable us to offer GomSpace the benefits of our global network of expertise and solutions.
