Using CGI's Medicaid Incentive360®, the states of Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia and Texas have disbursed more than $1 billion in electronic health record (EHR) incentive payments, and that number keeps growing.

The Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment Program, mandated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, requires states to apply for, manage and distribute EHR incentive payments to eligible professionals and hospitals. The goal is to facilitate EHR adoption to improve quality of care and reduce health costs.

CGI’s Medicaid Incentive360 is an end-to-end suite of program implementation and administration services that allows states to transition to and administer their incentive programs without undue risk, burden, delay and cost.

Key services in the Medicaid Incentive360 suite include:

  • Program management: While strategic decision making authority over the new program resides with each state, CGI provides business and technical program management services, including project management, service level monitoring and reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Business services: CGI handles business administration for the new program, including communications and outreach; policy and procedure management; call centers; dispute resolution; reporting/auditing; fraud, abuse and duplication monitoring; and payment processing.

  • Technical services: Our technical services include infrastructure management, portal registration capabilities, attestation and inquiry, interface administration, and the promotion of data exchange initiatives.
