Recreation
Your registration fee includes the choice of one recreational activity listed below. Pre-registration is required for recreational activities as space is limited and all activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis. CGI reserves the right to cancel these events if the minimum number of participants is not met.
Golf Outing
Unwind on one of the most naturally beautiful golf courses in Orlando FL when you set out to play 18 holes at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club® Orlando, Grande Lakes. A Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, this luxury golf course blends into the natural Central Florida landscape, protecting natural resources and habitats while enhancing the overall golf experience. Designed by two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman, the course blends a variety of hazards to provide a challenging but fair test of a golfer's abilities. Rental shoes and clubs will be available at an additional fee.
Attire: Traditional golf attire; no jeans or hard-spike shoes are allowed on the course.
Catch & Release Bass Fishing
Join professional guides on an exciting angling excursion for Florida strain largemouth bass in one of the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes’ private, 11 stocked and managed, lakes and ponds. Ranging in size from a few acres to our mile long, remote 48 acre Shingle Lake participants will be able to cast a line and explore the resort’s waters. The very best in spinning tackle are provided as well as all artificial lures and flies. No level of skill is necessary and all levels of interest are welcome for this exciting catch and release trophy bass fishing adventure! From novice to expert, all will enjoy this excursion.
Attire: Guests should be dressed comfortable for outside weather. Guests can expect the possibility of getting wet while participating in water activities and close-toed shoes are suggested.
Eco-Tour
Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a guided Eco-Tour. Professionally trained Florida Master Naturalist Eco-Tour Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants as you navigate your own canoe or kayak, while paddling through scenic Old Florida. Various types of water crafts are available including a single person kayak, two person kayaks and multi-seat canoes. Whether it’s your first time on the water or something you’ve been doing for years, the Eco-Tour will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
