Congratulations to the 2021 CGI I.T. Girl Challenge winner - The Grade Savers

2021 CGI I.T. Girl Challenge winner - The Grade Savers check

Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania team members Paige Frank and Tomi Olaore developed the GradeUp mobile app for the CGI I.T. Girl Challenge.

The purpose of the GradeUp mobile app is to give students a platform to be able to communicate and help each other with their school work, and help create better study habits.

We would like to thank our mentors (CGI and University of Pittsburgh), judges, community partners (Pittsburgh Public Schools, New Outlook Academy, Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania, Best of the Batch Foundation, Steel City Codes) and all participants.

CGI is proud of all participants and can’t wait to see what you do in the future. Until next time!

About the Challenge

CGI hosted the 2021 CGI I.T. Girl Challenge in Pittsburgh approaching the virtual model head-on. The Challenge was be comprised of 20 CGI-led Mentor hours spread over a 12-week period. The division of these hours into separate mentor sessions is left to the discretion of the teams. These sessions took place over Microsoft Teams, provided (and managed) by CGI mentors. The award for the winning team was a scholarship split between members of the winning team.
