CGI Federal is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support the Criminal division at DOJ.
The Criminal Division’s Facilities support staff provides service and support to the Sections/Offices within the Criminal Division related to space management; facilities management programs, including planning, reallocation and utilization of office space, design, renovations, relocation services and construction; property management; and health and safety. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that the selectees to these positions expeditiously receive security approval from the Division’s security office to allow them to report for work. The contractors shall be sufficiently knowledgeable to perform the necessary tasks independently, requiring clarification from a Facilities Specialist only when unique circumstances require clarification or departure from established procedures.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Assist in monitoring real property asset to include space accountability and utilization and space inventory.
Provide logistics support such as managing the Division’s day-to-day moving services and furniture/equipment repairs. Utilizing the Division’s Admin Procure system, the contractor shall review requests for repairs to various types of office equipment to determine if repairs are necessary and/or the repair of the equipment warrants the expenditure of funds. Ensures necessary repairs are carried out through the service agencies, commercial firms under government contract or through private contractors.
Assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring all on-site construction activities.
Maintain the Division’s furniture storage facilities and oversee the distribution, storage, replacement, maintenance and utilization of office furniture, equipment and supplies. Ensuring that the storage facilities are kept secure, organized, and property issuance is managed appropriately.
Plan, organize, coordinate and monitor comprehensive operations with regard to services needed for the full maintenance of buildings owned and leased by the government for occupancy by Division personnel.
Assist in developing statistical and narrative reports, training manuals, and curriculum regarding all aspects of facilities, space and property management. The contractor will also assist in coordinating, presenting, providing, and developing property management training and materials.
Perform the day to day property management operations:
(a) Responsible for the implementation and administration of the Division’s personal property management program. Under the direction and guidance of the Assistant Director for Facilities, exercises control of all personal property within the Division.
(b) Assists in determining disposition of excess property, whether by donation or excessing, in accordance with Federal, Department of Justice, and Criminal Division guidelines.
(c) Ensures that UAPM, the Department’s Property Management Database, and corresponding hard-copy property filing system are well managed and kept up-to-date.
(d) Accepts incoming accountable and non-accountable property, ensures that all property data is accurately entered into the UAPM database and, that the appropriate parties are notified of the property’s arrival.
(e) Ensures that the excess, donation and transfer of accountable property follow all regulations.
(f) Responsible for a wide range of manual and automated reporting on major aspects of the Property Management Program.
(g) Maintains regular contact with Section Property Custodians, and employees regarding the importance of following established property management procedures.
(e) Identifies chronic problem areas and conducts focused follow up training to correct deficiencies, clarify procedures, or streamline operations.
(f) Provides logistics support such as planning and deploying furniture and equipment.
(8) The contractor shall be knowledge of the Federal Property Management Regulations and the Department of Justice Property Management Regulations.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must be able to obtain a DOJ Waiver
TS clearance preferred
Must be a US citizen
4+ years of relevant experience
Must have a HS diploma
Must be able to pass a CGI Background investigation
Work involves standard office setting, and involves work in garage storage areas. Both environments may involve exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
