Position Description

We are looking for an individual that has technical mindset and has the ability to learn new technology and how it will impact our clients. Are you someone who can develop, implement and maintain automation frameworks with a strong Linux skill set. As an Ansible Automation Engineer you will be responsible for planning, implementation and automation of the internal infrastructure including network and server environments.

You are eager to learn new technologies supplemented with prior knowledge of Ansible automation, Agile development, Scripting languages (python, shell scripting, etc.) and integrating systems management.

Your future duties and responsibilities

You will:

• Develop Ansible playbooks and modules Administer Ansible infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support.
• Develop, configure and administer DevOps and IT automation solutions.
• Your approach should be that quality is owned by the entire team.
• Your passion for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code through the use of automation tools will help you drive solutions for your clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a testing environment
• Experience writing Ansible playbooks and roles for network automation
• Scripting languages (Python, shell scripting, etc.)
• Develop, configure and administer DevOps and IT automation solutions
• Automation Development
• Experience administering middleware components like MQ, IIB etc. highly desired
• Understanding of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Source Code Control Systems: Subversion, Git/Gerrit
• Linux OS proficiency a plus.
• Familiarity and experience in Java programming technologies on Linux-based platforms
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices. AntHill Pro, Hudson/Jenkins or other CI systems a plus
• Software deployment monitoring, automation, build/release and troubleshooting
• Experience implementing a continuous integration (CI) or continuous development (CD) pipeline
• Adeptness to work collaboratively on and lead a team as well as work independently

Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related IT field or equivalent combination of experience and education
