As a leader of their Agile team, the PO helps steer the team through PI and sprint planning, prioritizing the backlog, and demoing the completed components to both peers and clients. A successful PO is organized, detailed, flexible, and actively works to drive the solution to a higher quality standard. The PO’s main responsibilities include working with a PM, SA or other SME’s to understand intent of the initiatives, break down epics into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, manage the team’s backlog, and deliver quality products in accordance with solution development standards.
