12 October 2020 To beat climate change and reach Net Zero targets, private and public organisations need to focus on data and build an actionable game plan.
CGI is proud to be a co-sponsor of the first InfraHack hackathon event run by Hack Partners, driving innovation across the economic infrastructure over four days. The event is for everyone interested in technology and innovation in infrastructure and transport and is backed by some of the biggest and best in the infrastructure industry names; with the challenge to build new solutions that solve the industry’s critical problems.
CGI is among the key technology and innovation leaders and will provide insight into some of the interesting projects we’ve worked on which have had a positive impact on the infrastructure industry. Marian Cafferty, Vice President of Consulting Services, CGI UK will attend as a CGI representative who will present and share her experience and knowledge of working within infrastructure within the IT industry. Russell Goodenough for CGI will be a judge, attending on the Sunday, reviewing the final pitch ideas with fellow judges. Participants will form teams and will have a chance to pitch their ideas in front of the judges during the final. There will be four categories each with its percentage weighting: Business Model, MVP/Prototype, Design and Pitch/presentation.
The event will take place in London starting on 16 May at 5.00 PM and completing 19 May at 6.00 PM. Participants will travel to four different cities across the UK over the InfraHack and engage in a variety of activities across the four days such as ideas pitching, Dragon’s Den with Mentors, Escape Room and a hack throughout the night. The event will complete with the finals in London. After the finals, the afterparty will be a private cruise across London.
