What to expect on a Higher Apprenticeship

When you join us as an apprentice, you will enjoy the benefits of a permanent, full-time employment contract. Once you’ve completed your advanced apprenticeship, you’ll have achieved a Level three qualification.

Due to the nature of our business, you work on ‘projects’ which means you can have roles across various projects. Previous undergraduates have worked on top-secret national security projects and helped to win multi-million pound projects.

You will have a designated manager and line manager who will support your career development and professional conduct. In addition, you will have a ‘buddy’, who has also been through an apprenticeship, so is able to help and support you in any way necessary.

Who are we looking for?

We are on the look-out for the next generation of leaders in our technical and leadership roles, as well as individuals who have a passion for technology and a real desire to learn.

Our apprenticeship programmes are great for school leavers who have a career path in mind and want to study towards a recognised qualification, whilst earning at the same time.

Apprenticeship pathways

CGI has an award winning, world class, 5 star Service Desk based in Wales offering a 12-month programme delivered in partnership with our training provider, ALS Apprenticeships. You'll train towards a full Microsoft certified IT Systems Networking Level 3 Apprenticeship. We offer a range of roles across many different sectors including: Service Delivery, Project Management, Technical and Project Services.

Requirements

To have or be predicted to achieve a minimum of five A-C GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
