Assist and support activities related to the development and deployment of the CGI privacy program (incl. remediation plans and actions, privacy audit), at the Strategic Business Unit and Business Unit level, report directly to the APAC Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner ( Data Protection Officer)
In coordination with the APAC Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner ( SBU Data Protection Officer)
Provide first point of contact for local regulators, data protection authorities, complainants and privacy rights requests and coordinate the response to the latter with the relevant stakeholders (Business Unit, Legal, HR, Finance, etc.)
Foster a privacy culture within the Strategic Business Unit and drive the implementation of the CGI privacy program
Develop materials; conduct on-going privacy training and awareness activities.
Inform advice and issue recommendations to Strategic Business Unit stakeholders regarding privacy compliance, where necessary, with the support of the Strategic Business Unit legal department.
Support identification of Privacy Risk and participate in client negotiations for complex deals.
Oversee, maintain or ensure the maintenance of the data processing inventory (for controller and processor activities) and perform regular review of the inventory to assess the privacy risk.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Advise the Strategic Business Unit on whether a data protection impact assessment should be carried out, under which methodology; recommend corrective measures to mitigate any risks to the rights and interests of the data subjects.
Monitor compliance of the Strategic Business Unit with data protection regulations and document all decisions taken consistent with and contrary to the advice given .Generate reports and track key privacy metrics relevant for the Business Units and other internal stakeholders
Contribute to the data incident and notification process once a data breach has occurred
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the APAC DPO
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum 2 to 5 years of practical experience in implementation of data privacy programs .
