Foresters, the financial services organisation inspired by helping children, has once again achieved industry recognition for its Point of Sale Technology. The system is used by Foresters advisers to support their home-based financial planning service to customers.

Foresters won second place at the prestigious Financial Adviser Sales Awards for the Best Point of Sale Technology Award 2004. Financial Adviser, part of the FT Business Group, is the leading publication for financial advisers and the insurance industry. Foresters has now been in the top 3 for this award for four years running and was the winner in 2003.

The system - which has been developed in conjunction with IT and business process services provider CGI- provides a holistic approach to financial planning, identifying each customer's individual aims and life goals. Through a series of visual displays it provides customers with a clear picture of their financial needs and enables Foresters advisers to give comprehensive financial advice in the field.

Commenting on the continued success of this system, Euan Allison, Forester Life's Managing Director explained: "We developed this technology with our software partner, CGI, to give our customers a better understanding of their financial needs. The ongoing recognition we have received reflects the system's success in enabling maximum customer interaction during the financial advice process."

About Foresters
The financial services organisation inspired by helping children, Foresters offers a wide range of attractive financial services, including life protection, investments, savings, pensions and healthcare. For 130 years, Foresters has operated on the principle that the growth and prosperity of individual families is linked to the communities in which they live. Foresters invests time, money and resources to raise funds and strengthen non-profit children's organisations, such as Barnardo's and the Association of Children's Hospices, while Foresters members and staff volunteer locally. Last year our work involved nearly 20,000 volunteers and some 1.3m hours of community involvement, which helped to raise over £16m for worthwhile causes.
