In the community

Getting involved, giving back

The CGI dream is to create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of. As part of this dream, our business model is designed to ensure that we contribute positively in all of the communities in which we live and work.

We take the skills required to be a leading IT services company—problem-solving, creativity and dedication—and put them to work to make a positive difference. Through volunteer and pro-bono initiatives and financial investments, we are committed to contributing to those causes that benefit the well-being of our communities.

Across the country, CGI professionals support the communities they serve by donating their time and talents. They address community challenges through involvement in programs for education, youth, families, military veterans and more.

Some of the national organizations supported include the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Military Families Support Group and United Way.

STEM at CGI is a nationwide K-12 program that aims to train and mentor young people for STEM careers. Our flagship program, CGI STEM Camp, teaches children about STEM-related careers through fun, interactive one-day events, provided at no cost to the students. The program was started at CGI's Lafayette, Louisiana, center by three college hires in their first year of employment. In 2017, it expanded to six locations across the U.S., thanks to CGI’s Dream Connectors program.
