CGI’s IT Security Lab in the U.S.

A leading provider of IT security evaluations for conformance to the Common Criteria

CGI’s innovative and high-quality U.S. IT Security Lab helps clients maximize the value of their systems and software while minimizing time to market. We brings deep expertise with our product certification services for the Common Criteria, the internationally recognized information assurance certification scheme, and were a part of the development of its standard and supporting methodology.

Our independent evaluation laboratory is located within minutes of Washington, D.C. and the Pentagon, and is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), lab code 201001-0, and approved for National Information Assurance Partnership/Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (NIAP/CCEVS) testing. One of only 9 such accredited facilities in the U.S., the lab conforms to the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation, International Standard ISO/IEC 15408.

U.S. government buyers are directed to the Product Compliant List for selecting critical information assurance products for their network infrastructure. CGI’s U.S. lab provides certifications according to strict U.S. government Protection Profiles for the NIAP. U.S. Approved Protection Profiles are accepted internationally as well, with five separate schemes (U.S., Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand) participating.

The Department of Defense requires Common Criteria Protection Profile evaluated products as a precursor to Interoperability and Unified Capabilities testing. CGI labs provide this critical IT service for companies seeking Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) testing and evaluation services meeting the Unified Capabilities Requirements, and pave the way for inclusion on the DISA JITC UC Approved Products List for Network Infrastructure in the Security category.

CGI also has accredited IT security evaluation facilities in Canada and the United Kingdom. Our U.S. and Canada labs share experience and expert evaluator support, while operating autonomous certification laboratories for companies seeking certifications in either scheme.
