Chadi Habib is a senior technology and business transformation executive with more than 24 years of international experience.
He joined CGI in March 2020 and leads CGI’s global marketing and communications. His organization is responsible for enabling business development, raising market awareness, orchestrating strategic partnerships and increasing engagement among CGI’s 78,000 professionals. Chadi also is a member of CGI’s Executive Management Committee, which oversees the implementation of the company’s enterprise-wide strategy.
Prior to CGI, Chadi served as Executive Vice President, Technology at Desjardins Group, where he oversaw an organisation of 4,500 technology professionals and an annual budget of over $1.5B, while concurrently serving on several boards. The scope of his role encompassed all technology solutions and operations to the banking and insurance sectors of the group, as well as leading its digital transformation.
Prior to joining Desjardins in 2011, Chadi was the CIO and VP Shared Services for Rio Tinto Engineered Products in Paris, France. There, he led the transformation of the technology function and the creation of finance and HR shared service capabilities. Prior to Rio Tinto, he held several management and technology positions in Canada, the United States and Europe at SAP AG and EDS.
Chadi has a B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He is an avid public speaker and advisor on technology and its impact on business models as well as our society. As part of his social engagement, he is involved in several initiatives focused on women and diversity in technology.
