As the Senior Vice-President of the Greater Montréal – Financial Services business unit, Benoit Godmaire leads client relationship development and service delivery, which includes consulting, systems integration, outsourcing, business process services and intellectual property solutions for CGI’s banking, insurance and wealth management clients in Montréal.
Since joining CGI in 1998, Benoit has been responsible for IT operations such as end user support, ATM support, application maintenance and integration services. He also headed the insurance sector, delivering infrastructure services to clients in the United States and Canada. As Vice-President for the Banking sector, he was responsible for client relationships and delivery covering all aspects of retail banking, corporate transaction banking and wealth management for financial institutions in Montréal.
Prior to CGI, Benoit worked in the information technology field for both the manufacturing and retail industries, supporting users throughout North America.
Benoit is involved in various charity organizations and has served as the Campaign Leader for United Way/Centraide for CGI for three years. In 2015, he was the co-president of a fundraising event for the OLO Foundation, which helps children get a good start in life through nutritional care.
Benoit completed his studies at Université du Québec à Montréal and Ryerson University in Toronto.
