(TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced that the Center for Digital Government presented CGI with a "Best Fit Integrator" award at the second annual State and Local Government Integrator Summit in Colorado Springs, CO. CGI was honored for its work on the eWake Project in Wake County, NC, under the categories of 'Elegant Design' and 'Tailored Teams' in the areas of finance and administration.

CGI has worked with Wake County since December 2005 to replace their legacy mainframe financial, HR and budgeting systems with the integrated AMS Advantage enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to improve data access, decrease manual, paper-based processes, improve information timeliness, reduce duplication in data entry, and achieve an enterprise-wide technology vision. The 'Elegant Design' category recognizes innovative but practical solutions, like the eWake Project, that have resulted in a substantial improvement in financial or operational performance and service delivery capacity.

"The results and synergy we achieve based on CGI's solution, delivery excellence, expertise and experience is greater than the sum of its parts," said William Scanlon, applied technologies manager, Wake County. "Our senior leadership and users look to CGI as a trusted advisor in decisions to support our business processes and further our modernization efforts. Together we look to the future and our strategy for year-over-year improvement. And that is really where the 'best fit' and trusted partnership with CGI comes into play."

CGI's work with Wake County also won in the 'Tailored Teams' category, that, according to the Center for Digital Government, recognizes "when integrators make teams materially bigger and better than they were."

"The County searched long and hard for the best partner, and we have found that partner with CGI," said Scanlon. "The people from CGI are smart, collaborative, creative and hardworking, and they are all dedicated full-time to the business of their government clients. They are committed to working with us side-by-side, every day to achieve our goals throughout the project. They have solid experience, and their 'can do' attitude underpins everything they do."

"CGI is thrilled to again be nominated by our clients as a Best Fit Integrator," said Caroline Rapking, Vice-President, CGI. "In 2007, we received the award for our work on the Electronic Countywide Accounting and Purchasing System (eCAPS) for Los Angeles County, which implemented AMS Advantage for the nation's largest county. We are proud of our ability to provide government agencies with innovative technology solutions, and even prouder of our team's excellent work in partnership with Wake County."
