Due to ongoing growth and success in the province of BC, CGI is seeking an experienced Software QA Automation Analyst to join our world-class IT solution company to fill a permanent full-time role in our Vancouver office. This role will enable yo to work closely with our expanding quality assurance team in Vancouver.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Work closely with the Project Team, Client and various stakeholders to develop and implement an overall QA/Test Strategy and Test Plan
Responsible for design and execution of Test Cases (both Automated and Manual), Bug Tracking, Defects Triage, Test Reporting, Test Data preparation and Test Environments management
Mentor and train QA team members on automation
Participate in identification of project risks, and in mitigating technical, schedule and other project risks
Organize meetings and test sessions as required – with Internal Teams and the Client (review of Test Artifacts, prioritization of testing/bugs, Demo sessions etc
Participate in all other related project work as defined by the Team Manager

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

5+ years of recent software QA experience with at least 2+ years’ hands-on experience in developing automation frameworks and test scripting
Experience in Data Analytics, Data Migration, Data Conversion Projects would be highly desirable
Proficient in Functional, Non-Functional Testing, Integrations, UAT support, developing and executing Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Summary Reports
Experience working on Agile and Waterfall development projects
Strong knowledge of API testing and familiar with XML, JSON, HTML, SQL, SOAP, REST, web standards, testing Windows and web applications/services
Experience and familiarity with one of the programming/scripting languages, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Python
Experience with SQL and familiarity with one of the databases, such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB
Knowledge of Tools such as Jira, Selenium, Karate, SoapUI, JMeter, Jenkins, HP Quality Center
Capable of leading small QA Teams (1-3 members) when required
Experience conducting Performance Test, Security Test, Accessibility Test would be an asset
Experience with application and system profiling and monitoring tools, such as MS Performance Monitor, JMeter, Load Runner, New Relic, or Nagios would be an asset
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration, or equivalent
